February Goal Setting

Sitting down and writing my goals is so important for my mental health (and I'm over organised! I did tell you). It stops me from spiralling and thinking I’m not achieving anything, something that can affect my mood really badly. It also helps me keep track of what I’ve done and keeps me heading in the right direction to achieving my goals.

Without further ado, here are my goals for February:

1. Complete an online scriptwriting course.

I don’t for one-minute think that this will teach me everything I need to know but I certainly think it will help polish up my skills and keep me on the right path with it. I’ve really enjoyed scriptwriting and it’s definitely an avenue I want to pursue, so it makes sense to learn as much as I can on the subject.

2. Edit screenplay

You know that first draft I wrote in January? Yeah, it needs some work. I’ve never been good with editing, not in a big way anyway, so this is a skill I’m really looking forward to working in. I think it will also help me edit my books as well, being able to go back over, cut out, re-write etc. It will all be worth it in the end.

3. Make a list of agents

I have list of agents for my book but not for my screenplay and if I want my vision board of 2022 to come true, I will need an agent to get it on Netflix (dreaming big over here). First step is to find agents to send it to, and it’s a fairly lengthy task with lots of research so this made the goals list this month.

I’d love to hear what your goals are for February, so please share them below!
